Didi virtually concedes TMC role in Narada

In what looked like virtual admission of senior Trinamool Congress leaders’ involvement in the Narada bribery case TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday told an election rally that the money involved in the scam was barely a few lakhs of rupees in comparison to the thousands of crores stolen by the parties like BJP and Congress.

“There is a dirty conspiracy going on against the TMC in the name of Narada but I can tell you this has been hatched by some people in a newspaper office. We have information about the people who have done it” Banerjee said wondering “why there is much fuss on transaction of `50-65 lakh when the parties like BJP and Congress are involved in scams worth thousands of crores.”

Demanding an impartial investigation into the Narada sting operation case where a journalist posing as a businessman had lured a galaxy of top Trinamool leaders involving Ministers and MPs in money-for-favour deal Banerjee warned “those who conspired against the Trinamool will be firmly dealt with.”
