Among Mamata Banerjee’s New Year pledge are Modi Hatao (oust Modi) to-do through booth-wise anti-demonetisation campaigns and submission of a job-losers’ list -post-note-ban to President Pranab Mukherjee.

Intensifying her notebandi tirade against Prime Minister Narendra Modi the Chief Minister on Thursday said his, “so called war against black  money is sham” and under him India’s future was never secure.

Addressing a meeting of party leaders, Banerjee said Modi was running a Government of “Ali Baba and the famous four” adding, “I had known from the day one when he came to power that India’s future was insecure.”

Once again attacking the Prime Minister for destabilising the Indian economy by setting off the “biggest ever scam post Independence in the name of demonetisation”, Banerjee said “he talks of targeting the black money holders but in reality the black money wallas feel safe during his rule.”

Modi was good to the black money holders and worse to the poor she said. “He is one Prime Minister who has no credibility and has no right to continue on the post. He gives special relief to the corrupt and attacks the farmers, labourers, middle-class in the name of cleaning black money.”

Stopping short of reproducing Rahul Gandhi’s words Banerjee alleged that the Prime Minister had touched not a single black money holder and said “despite the hullabaloo against black money those who have it prefer Modi and vise versa.”

The Trinamool Congress has lined up a series of booth-wise campaign in Bengal between January one and 8. Instructing her party leaders to start the campaign to mobilize popular support against demonetisation Banerjee said a list of job-losers was also being prepared to be submitted before the President.

Earlier she had claimed that about 5 crore people had lost jobs in the wake of demonetisation. “This is a Government of Ali Baba and his famous four who have ruined the Indian economy and the poor people of India. They have no idea of the poor people’s ordeals. So there is no way but to raise a nationwide movement to oust Modi from power she said.”
