The NIA, which later took over the case, gave a clean chit to Shah in this matter.

Delhi Police’s Special Cell inspector Sanjay Dutt, who was first informant of the case, in its application asked for the statements of witnesses, evidence collected by the NIA which it conducted during its investigation.

As per the sources, District judge Amar Nath, during an in-camera proceeding, issued notice to NIA and Shah and listed the matter on November 6 for further hearing.

The Delhi Police in its application requested the court for giving them the opportunity before deciding the fate of Shah. The NIA has already given the alleged terrorist a clean chit. Shah along with one Sabir Khan Pathan was arrested for placing weapons and explosives in a guest house near the Jama Masjid. While Pathan is absconding, Shah was nabbed by Delhi Police.
