Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday said that the Delhi Government is expanding healthcare facilities across the city. The initiative aims to ensure that every citizen gets access to quality medical services.

She was speaking at the inauguration of the Free Dialysis and Thalassaemia Testing Centre set up by the Sewa Bharti Diagnostic and Dialysis Centre in Ashok Vihar. Appreciating the initiative, she said the volunteers of Sewa Bharti were strengthening Delhi’s healthcare network through their dedication and spirit of service. “This service-orientated mission brings new energy to our healthcare system. It will benefit thousands of people every year,” she said. The event was organised on the occasion of Bhagwan Valmiki Prakatotsav and attended by Dr Krishna Gopal, Joint General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS); Delhi Health Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh; and several dignitaries. The Chief Minister interacted with patients and reviewed the centre’s modern diagnostic and dialysis equipment. Calling the centre a “life-giving initiative”, the chief minister urged social organisations and citizens to work together to expand access to affordable healthcare.  “Both the Government and society must join hands to take this campaign of service forward. Only then can we build a truly inclusive Delhi,” she said.

Highlighting her Government’s recent initiatives, the Chief Minister said the Delhi Government has launched a new digital platform for organ and eye donation as part of Seva Pakhwada. “This initiative enables people to save lives even after death.  It reflects the highest spirit of humanity and reminds us that service is the greatest religion,” she said. Extending her wishes to Sewa Bharti and its partners, the Chief Minister said, “This centre will continue to shine as a beacon of hope and compassion. By serving those in need, we live up to the ideals of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji and contribute to the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.”
