The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) sold 9,332 flats in the first seven months of financial year 2026-27, an 80 per cent increase from the same period in the previous financial year, officials said on Wednesday.
In recent months, DDA has launched several housing projects across all three major housing categories: Lower Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), and Higher Income Group (HIG).
DDA sold a total of 9,332 flats across various categories from April to October 2026, compared with 5,198 flats during the same period last year.
“This represents an increase of 4,134 flats in sales, reflecting growing public confidence in DDA’s housing initiatives. The significant growth in housing sales reflects the impact of sustained efforts by DDA, backed by the continuous monitoring and keen oversight of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, towards accelerating the development of Delhi’s sub-cities,” the DDA said in a statement.
According to officials, Narela has emerged as a major contributor to DDA’s housing sales, accounting for more than 90 per cent of total sales so far in the current financial year.
“The area is steadily developing into a preferred residential destination, supported by major infrastructure projects such as the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) and the upcoming Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro Corridor,” the statement added.
To give prospective homebuyers more time, DDA has extended the booking period for its ongoing housing schemes under the First-Come, First-Served system until December 31, 2026. These include DDA Karmayogi Awaas Yojana 2025, DDA Karmajeevi Awaas Yojana 2026 and DDA Nagrik Awaas Yojana 2026.
