Mukesh Ranjan

Ranjeet Singh Kohli, accused of torturing his national shooter wife Tara Shahdeo after she refused to change her religion, accused his wife of dragging a family matter to national level in connivance with his opponents. Kohli also sought an impartial investigation in the case saying he was being framed by his opponents.

The police, on the other hand, have seized 36 mobile SIM cards along with several objectionable documents establishing his links in the judiciary.

Kohli, who was on a three-day remand of Ranchi police, was speaking to the media while being taken out from his Ashok Vihar flat during an intensive search conducted by the police in the rented flats used by Kohli.

Claiming that he had reached there out of hard work and dedication which was all finished by Tara and demanded that the case be investigated by some impartial agency. Reacting to the allegations made by Tara about his connections with some of the state ministers, Kohli said that the media has made him such a big shot, that he was now afraid of himself. He added, “Tara, who has taken the family matter to the open, God knows what she will do with me by taking the help of mediaIJ”

The police after an intensive search of over two hours at Kohli’s Blair Apartment residence have seized 36 mobile SIM cards and more than 20 documents related to court along with several other objectionable things for further investigations.

“We came here along with Ranjeet Singh Kohli to collect more evidences against him and have recovered 36 mobile SIM cards, 20-22 court related documents, 30 registers, 2 CPUs, 1 pen drive, 4 printers, one VIP light, 2 shooting guns, along with several other things from his apartment,” said Ranchi SSP Prabhat Kumar.
