The Congress attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his ministerial colleagues over their degree row now involving the newly-inducted Minister of State for HRD Ram Shankar Katheria over his graduation marksheet.
Senior party leaders while attacking Katheria also referred to the degree controversy surrounding HRD Minister Smriti Irani soon after her taking over in the office. While former Union Minister Ajay Maken said that this is BJP's gift to the national Education Ministry, AICC spokesperson Salman Khurshid said the "master" does not seem to be in control.
"There is something called a talent pool and one picks people for a particular job, the best suited candidate is chosen. In this case, it seems those who have maximum human resources have been picked for the job," Khurshid said .
Katheria is in the thick of a controversy after he was charged that his graduation marksheet was fake which he, however, strongly denied and termed it a political conspiracy.
