West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the INDIA bloc leaders, accusing them of perpetrating dynastic rule and condemning them for patronising infiltration.

Showering praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for enjoying worldwide respect, the Chief Minister said, at a mammoth Save Democracy rally in Siliguri, “against Modi ji’s worldwide respect, the INDIA bloc leaders stand for ‘4G, and 2G’ status — that stand for three generations, four generations, and two generation dynastic rule.”

He said, “From Nehru to Rahul Gandhi, they represent four generations of dynastic rule, whereas in the case of DMK’s Stalin they represent 3G or three generations of dynastic rule from Karunanidhi downwards, whereas in the case of Akhilesh Yadav and the Pishi-Bhaipo (read Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee) they represent 2G or second-generation status, whereas Modi ji does not stand for any dynastic rule.”

Vouching for the respect the Prime Minister enjoyed worldwide, Adhikari claimed it was at the request of Modi that Russia and Ukraine had halted their war for 24 hours so as to let India evacuate its medical students who were reading in the war-torn country.

“More than 30000 of our students were reading in Ukraine and were stuck in the war… but when our Prime Minister requested and Russian President Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Zelensky, they halted the battle for 24 hours, when the Indian Air Force evacuated our students from that country… but here these anti-democratic Opposition leaders in our country are after the NDA Government and the Prime Minister to malign them,” Adhikari said, adding all the recent protests were a part of a bigger conspiracy to allow the infiltrators to enter and colonise India.

Taking up the cudgel for the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Center, he said, “while the ECI and the Centre are trying to drive out the illegal immigrants, Rahul Gandhi and Mamata Banerjee are allied to keep them in India.”

Swearing by the success story of his Government in West Bengal, he said how the six-month-old BJP Government in the State was not only bringing industries but also ensuring undeterred practice of their religious festivals by the Hindus who had to move the High Court during the previous TMC Government to get permission to organise Pujas.

“This year we have given permission to 13,000 more Durga Pujas in Bengal, and the people here have no fear, or they do not have to move the High Court to organise Pujas,” he said, adding he would work towards getting an IIT in Siliguri and more industries and employment opportunities for the youth of West Bengal.

The Trinamool Congress leadership immediately hit back, wondering why Adhikari was standing by the ECI and why the Home Ministry could not stop infiltration.

Senior party leader Kunal Ghosh said, “The movement of the opposition is against the ECI and its vote theft … the perplexing question is why the BJP is defending the ECI … besides, infiltration has to be explained by the Home Ministry, but why is the Chief Minister accusing the Opposition of infiltration.”
