Tension prevailed in Wazirpur locality under Hariparvat police station of Agra district following a clash between two groups late on Saturday night.
Police said that the security personnel had to use mild force to disperse the irate mob pelting stones on each other during the clash. The police are yet to find the reason which triggered clash and investigation on these lines are on.
However, women in the area alleged that some youths indulged in eve-teasing which lead to the clash. Additional forces have been deployed in the area and four people have been arrested so far.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shalab Mathur said that leaves of all the policemen of the district have been cancelled due to the high alert issued by the UP Government after the Muzaffarnagar communal riot Saturday. He said the police forces were camping in the area and the situation was under control.
