Godala Kiran Kumar, an IAS officer of Bengal Cadre, was on Wednesday arrested by CID sleuths on charges of being involved in a Rs125 crore scam, which took place a couple of years ago when he was the Chairman
of Siliguri-Jalpaiguri Development Authority.
He was earlier arrested but was later released on bail the very next day. A number of local Trinamool Congress leaders are also alleged to have been involved in the scam.
