Governor, Shekhar Dutt and Chief Minister Raman Singh have expressed profound grief over the demise of Union Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde on Tuesday.
Dutt in his condolence message said that Munde was not only a sensitive Indian but was also a skilled politician and an administrator. He was a grass-roots leader and known for his concern for poor people and farmers, the Governor stated.
While holding important positions from 1990 untill now, Munde rendered his services in Maharashtra and across the nation, he said. “My tributes to the dynamic leader, Munde, whose premature demise leaves a void hard to fill. Condolences to Munde’s family” said Dutt.
likewise, Chief Minister Raman Singh in his condolence message shed light on Munde’s life journey and achievements.
The Chief Minister maintained that he and many members of his Cabinet had close friendship with Munde. With his demise, the nation has lost a great leader, added Singh. The State Government has declared a day's state mourning.
