Extending support to social activist Anna Hazare’s movement against the amendments in the land Acquisition Bill, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia will be joining the protest on Tuesday at Jantar Mantar.

The duo met Hazare on Monday evening where the decision to join him was taken. Though Hazare had earlier said that he would not want any political person to join him on stage, sources said Kejriwal and Sisodia will be doing so. Kejriwal met Hazare on Monday evening at Maharashtra Sadan where the latter is staying and touched his feet as a sign of respect. The meeting went on for nearly an hour after which Sisodia addressed the media and said, “Kejriwal and I will sit in protest with Anna after the Assembly session at 3 pm.”

During the meeting, sources said, the two also discussed the amendments in the land Acquisition Bill where Kejriwal extended his full support in the matter saying it is a very important issue at hand.

If as per sources Kejriwal does share the dais with Anna Hazare, it will be a reunion for the two who were the prominent faces of the lokpal movement. This reunion is also expected to bring a massive crowd.

While Hazare has been appreciative of Kejriwal since he got elected at the CM, he was not keen on giving his movement a political turn. However, after the meeting, Hazare is said to have been keen on Kejriwal’s joining him on the dais.

The last time the two campaigned together was in 2011 after which in 2012 they had a fall-out because Kejriwal decided to form a political party.
