Union Tourism Minister Shripad Naik on Thursday announced a special package of Rs 100 crore for restoration and reconstruction of the affected Government tourist facilities in the flood-hit Jammu&Kashmir.

A senior official from the Tourism Ministry said that the Rs 100 crore is being doled out as a special finance package for the State for rebuilding the recently damaged tourism infrastructure in the region.

This is over and above the already prioritised projects for Central Financial Assistance (CFA) of approx Rs 127.00 crore, in the current financial year in the State.
