The Pakistan Army on Sunday once again targeted civilian houses along the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar sector of Poonch. One civilian received injuries while several civilian houses were damaged in intense mortar shelling from across the line of control.
Defence PRO in Jammu, Lt- Col Devender Anand said, “early Sunday morning Pakistsn targeted civilian areas by firing with small arms & intense shelling with mortars along LoC in Mendhar sector of Poonch causing damage to civilian houses”. He said,in the evening at about 7.50 p.m Pakistan again initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation in Kirni, Qasba & Degwar sectors of Poonch.Till the time of filing the report, Indian Army was retaliating befittingly.
