Rejecting their request for two weeks' time to appear before it, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday summoned RJD chief lalu Prasad on October 3 and Tejashwi Yadav on October 4 in the Railway hotel tender case. The agency had earlier asked lalu to appear on September 25 and Tejaswai on Tuesday.

On Monday, lalu had sought two weeks to appear before the CBI for questioning in connection with a case of alleged graft in giving the maintenance contract for two IRCTC hotels to a private firm.

lalu was summoned by the CBI for the second time to appear before the investigating team but he sent his lawyer who sought two weeks' time for questioning. For his part, Tejashwi also earlier in the day sought two weeks' time which the CBI rejected later in the day and called both the father-son duo after Gandhi Jayanti.
