Many politicians have openly criticised Reddy for his lavish wedding. Senior Congress leader and Karnataka Health Minister Ramesh Kumar came down heavily on this fat wedding and said it was flaunting opulence. He just dismissed this kind of lavish wedding and said he was not advocate this at all.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is against lavish weddings, said it was the responsibility of the Income Tax Department to check the money used in lavish weddings like the one of the former BJP Minister and mining baron G Janardhan Reddy’s daughter.
He said that it was for the department to check the source of funding and if black money was being used.
