The mystery shrouding the disappearance of 23-year-old female software engineer Esther Anuhya hailing from Andhra Pradesh ended on Thursday night, after her partially burnt and severely mutilated body was found in the woods near Kanjurmarg in north-east Mumbai.
Her father S Prasad identified his daughter Anuhya’s daughter with the help of a ring on her finger. The body was sent for post-mortem. An examination of the corpse revealed that the deceased had ante-mortem injury marks on the torso, indicating that the girl had been tortured.
