As per reports, 13-year-old Parth Singh was found hanging from the ceiling in Mission compound area of Maudaha area of Hamirpur, while his father’s mobile on which he was playing ‘Blue Whale Challenge’ was still running when his family noticed his body on Sunday around 5 pm .

Vikram Singh’s only son Parth said in his last post that very soon he would cross the last level of the game. “My win is certain though I would not be alive to see it but still I want to win at any cost,” he further posted.

Numbed with grief, the parents said that Parth was supposed to attend a friend’s birthday on Sunday evening but he did not go there and continued playing the game.

Hamirpur police, however, cautious on the incident saying that they were investigating and hence could not comment whether the death was due to the game or not. “We have found a mobile phone near the student’s body and experts were scanning it,” the police said.

Elsewhere in Bareilly, an intermediate student contacted the local police seeking help from organisers of ‘Blue Whale’ game. The student from Suresh Nagar area claimed that he crossed two levels and at the third stage, he was instructed to carve a whale on his arm with a blade.

He said that fearing it would hurt, he left the game after which he received messages that if he did not continue the game his family would be killed. He revealed that the organisers invited players below 20-years to play and if the age was mentioned above that then the application shows error.
