BJP's chargesheet against K'taka Govt 'bundle of lies': CM

Kestur Vasuki

A day after BJP’s chargesheet against ruling Congress Government in Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called it a bundle of lies and said “The saffron party has no moral right to level allegations.”

Addressing the media in Bengaluru on Friday on the eve of completion of four-years in office, Siddaramaiah ridiculed the BJP and said they were misleading the people.

He said, “Who are making these allegationsIJ Those people who are facing charges filed by police. They cannot mislead the people. They do not have the moral right to level these allegations. The booklet is a bundle of lies.”

He said there were charges against BS Yeddyurappa and others of the BJP, claiming that the allegations against him were ‘politically motivated’.

“The charges made by BJP by releasing a booklet are mere allegations. Chargesheet means allegations supported by evidence. They have not produced evidence, hence they are baseless and false allegations,” he said.

He said BJP leaders had become desperate after losing the recent Nanjangud and Gundlupet Assembly  elections.

On some charges levelled against him, he said, “Can someone tell what allegations am I facingIJ Have I been chargesheetedIJ Have I been summoned by any CourtIJ Have I gone to jail like some BJP leadersIJ”

The State BJP had on Thursday released a ‘charg-

esheet’ highlighting the ‘rampant corruption’ of the Sidd-

aramaiah Government and  its failure to tackle farm crisis.
