PNS

The BJP on Tuesday charged the Centre with having failed in putting diplomatic pressure on Pakistan to hand over the perpetrators. Simultaneously, the party also cautioned the political parties against playing votebank politics on the issue of terror. BJP maintained that the blasts in Patna, Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad and other parts of the country indicate presence of sleeper cells which cooperate with terror groups.

Party president Rajnath Singh sought explanation from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to explain the steps taken to bring the mastermind and real perpetrators of the Mumbai carnage who are still roaming free in Pakistan.

“The incumbent Government at the Centre has failed miserably in putting any diplomatic pressure on Pakistan to act decisively against the forces of evil operating from its territory. The Prime Minister should explain to the people of this country what concrete steps his Government had taken in this direction since 26/11,” Singh said on his social network site Facebook. For his part, senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu asked the political parties not to link fight against terror with votebank politics.
