Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also be the role model for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with party election campaign committee chief and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
The schemes and programmes run by the Madhya Pradesh Government would also be publicised nationally, said BJP national general secretary and in-charge of Madhya Pradesh, Ananth Kumar here on Monday, while talking to media persons.
Kumar claimed that the BJP would form the government for the third consecutive term in the State under the leadership of Chouhan.
Earlier, Kumar along with party national organisational general secretary Ramlal addressed a meeting of the State office-bearers at the party’s State headquarters. The duo reviewed the preparations for the Chief Ministers’ proposed Jan-ashirwad Yatra that begins on July 22 and the State level convention of the party to be held in the State capital on July 25, to mark the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.
It was decided at the meeting that a comparison of the ten years of BJP rule would be done with ten years of Congress rule in the State so that the people of the State could know how the BJP has fared better than its opponents. The tenure of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would be projected as a model of good governance while the former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh’s tenure would be projected as mis-governance.
Ananth Kumar, while talking to media persons, said the State Congress was leaderless and it was on the verge of collapse. It is without leadership and is directionless. Due to the bad condition of the Congress, many of its senior leaders do not wish to remain in it, he added.
He said the Congress president should clarify whether or not Digvijay Singh is in Congress, because the way it distances itself from the statements of Singh,
suggests that Singh has an individual identity.
