The Bengal BJP has come down heavily on former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for attacking the Union Government for getting extended the judicial custody of top Cockroach Janata Party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka.
Asking Banerjee to remember the kind of Government she ran for 15 years in Bengal, besides giving an account of the political murder of BJP workers by her Trinamool Congress goons before pointing fingers at others.
“You (Banerjee) should first look at the legacy of a dark age that you have left behind before accusing others,” senior BJP leader Dilip Ghosh said, reminding how the saffron workers were murdered one by one by the TMC goons and her Government did nothing to deliver justice.
“If you point one finger at others, three fingers point back at you… so Mamata Banerjee should remember her misdeeds before accusing the BJP Government, which had been dealing with all the dissents quite leniently; otherwise, things would have been different,” said another party MLA.
Accusing the Union Government of perpetrating “state-sponsored terrorism” in India, Banerjee had earlier asked the Union Government to “immediately release Das and Ranka,” who were remanded to an additional two days’ judicial custody.
“This is a dangerous virus being used on a daily basis to attack democracy. Stop torturing the boys and girls of Gen Z. Those in power today will not be in power tomorrow,” she had said.
