BJP, SP, AIMIM trying to spread hatred: Cong

PNS

The Congress on Monday blamed the BJP, the Samajwadi Party and the AIMIM for making attempts to spread communal hatred across the country.

In the backdrop of the Dadri incident in which a man was lynched due to beef eating, the party alleged that the entire country is currently witnessing the vitriolic and divisive hate campaign being unleashed by all these three parties with the sole objective of polarising India’s polity and creating communal tension as a tool for electoral gain.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi maintains a deafening silence qua the inflammatory, provocative and incendiary statements aimed at rabble-rousing by Union Ministers and BJP leaders. It is no longer the ‘fringe’ but now even Union Ministers, MP’s and MlA’s of the BJP are fanning the communal fire by their well thought out seditious agenda aided and abetted by co-conspirators like SP Ministers and the Owaisi brothers,” said AICC spokesman Pramod Tiwari.

Tiwari, who is also a Rajya Sabha member, alleged that Union Minister Sanjeev Balayan and BJP MlA Sangeet Som, both accused in 2013 Muzaffarnagar communal riots, have been issuing threats that they were capable of giving a “befitting reply” and thereafter has demanded that “accused should be released “.

The party also noted the former deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Modi who has promised of banning cow slaughter in Bihar, if BJP comes to power. “May we remind you that cow slaughter was banned in Bihar in 1955 by the enactment of The Bihar Preservation And Improvement of Animals Act, 1955. So why is Modi silent on this white lie,” questioned Tiwari.  He also also charged with communal conspiracy by BJP-SP combine with UP Minister Azam Khan threatening to take issues to the United Nation (UN).
