BJP MlAs question 'survey' credibility

PNS

Resentment brews among the BJP MlAs over a survey identifying their weaknesses in their respective constituencies. They have questioned the credibility of the survey.

Sensing their angst, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has told them that he wants every sitting legislator to get the party ticket in the forthcoming Assembly elections. “The survey gives an opportunity to the legislators to address their weaknesses and develop strength in areas where they are vulnerable, and get the party ticket,” he told the legislators.

The MlAs, however, dismissed this as a ruse. Many of them believe that the survey is just an attempt by the party to deny tickets to them in the coming elections.

On condition of anonymity, a senior legislator noted, “I am four-term MlA from the area and now the CM has got a survey done to point out that I am weak in such and such localities and I will lose the seat if something is not done about it.”
