Buoyed by the participation of Narendra Modi at the party-sponsored Hunkar Rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on October 27, the Bihar BJP has fixed the target of congregating at least 10 lakh people at the event to kick-start the BJP’s campaign for the 2014 lok Sabha elections on a “highly optimistic note”.
A decision to that effect was taken at the BJP’s two-day State executive meeting, commencing at Bodh Gaya on Friday.
BJP general secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudy, party spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, State party president Mangal Pandey, party convener for Bihar affairs Dharmendra Pradhan, co-convener for the State affairs Vinod Pandey, former Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, leader of Opposition in the Assembly Nand Kishore Yadav, former BJP Ministers and other senior party leaders are among those attending the meet.
