The ruling Shiv Sena and the administration in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) found themselves on the defensive, as the BJP and Opposition Congress slammed the Sena and civic authorities for their lack of preparedness to tackle the monsoon-triggered disaster-like situation in the city.
Coming down heavily on the ruling Shiv Sena for its failure to tackle water-logging across the city, Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar said: “The people (Shiv Sena) who had spoken about walking the talk fled the scene now. The people are upset with the BMC.
