The BJP will hold a meeting of its Central Election Committee here on Monday to discuss and announce its first list of candidate for the lok Sabha election. Sources claimed the first list would include candidate for smaller States like Goa, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Andaman and a few others.
“CEC would meet regularly in the month of February and keep announcing the name of candidate. Fate of senior leaders would be announced at a later stage,” a senior BJP leader told The Pioneer. Sources claimed former Uttarakhand CM BC Khanduri and Bhagat Singh Koshiyari are likely to contest the forthcoming lok Sabha election.
The name of former army chief Gen VK Singh is also doing the rounds as a BJP candidate from either Haryana or Rajasthan.
