A dinner meeting attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his Cabinet colleagues and BJP leaders on Wednesday set the guidelines for the better coordination between the Government and the party.

It was decided in the meeting that every month a Minister would visit the party office to facilitate better flow of the information from the Government to the party. It was for the second time when Modi was visiting the party head office after becoming the Prime Minister, the first being on the death of Gopinath Munde to pay tribute to the late BJP leader and Central Minister.

The dinner was attended by most of the Cabinet Ministers including party president and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and office bearers of the party. A tight security cordon was laid around the party office where dinner was hosted. The event, scheduled to be held few days back, was deferred due to derailment of Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express at Chhapra in Bihar. The dinner followed a meeting of all Ministers and office bearers called by Rajnath.

The meeting took up several issues related to the Government and the upcoming Assembly elections. It was also for the first time after the formation of the BJP Government when all the office bearers and BJP Ministers came face to face with each other.
