The State BJP ahead of general elections is bringing top guns to fight not only the Congress but also to rebuild its image. BJP national president Rajnath Singh and former Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha were in Bangalore on Wednesday and both attacked the UPA and its failures.

While Rajnath Singh owed to fight UPA Governments proposed Ordinance on five graft Bills advocated by Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, Yashwant Sinha came down heavily on wrong polices and decisions made during 2008-09 which led to sharp fall in GDP growth. Addressing a group of businessmen in Bangalore Yashwant Sinha blamed wrong decisions of the UPA and said, “instead of focusing on investment-led growth, turned to consumption-led leading to high Inflation”.

“The focus on consumption-led growth was the reason for the economy seeing a low growth rate”.  He said blamed UPA Government’s wrong economic policies over the last decade.
