The Lok Sabha passed a Bill to abolish 68 old and archaic laws. The Bill also made minor amendments two Acts. The Repealing and Amending Bill 2019 was introduced by Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. The Modi Government has since 2014 brought a series of bills to abolish and repeal old and archaic acts.
