Bihar CM rules out truce with BJP

Despite Shatrughan Sinha’s willingness to bridge the gap between BJP and JD(U), Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made it clear his party will never tie up with its erstwhile ally under any circumstances in the future.

Replying to a debate on the Bodh Gaya Temple Management (amendment) Bill in the State Assembly on Tuesday, he said the JD(U) had snapped its ties with the BJP on certain principles and hence he does not find any reason that his party should rethink its decision to keep a distance from the BJP. He said the state BJP leaders were more interested in highlighting development of a different state (read Gujarat) instead of taking pride in the progress of Bihar made under the NDA regime.
