Bihar CM attacks BJP over Sushma row

Stopping short of demanding resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for her role in helping former IPl boss lalit Modi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said it is the culture of the BJP to help its people even if they are accused of serious crime. “This is the work culture of the BJP and once again it was evident from this episode,” said Nitish and declined to blame Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. He said, “It appears that MEA acted without taking into confidence the Enforcement Directorate which comes under the Finance Ministry.”

The CM alleged that the entire NDA Government was involved in this episode and that is why the Government to BJP to Sangh all have come out in her defence. “This also showed that they have no faith in the rule of law. May be some more such episodes will be revealed later on. The entire Government is in the dock,” he added.

Reacting to reactions and comments of his political opponents and their tone and language, Nitish said all his old associates were now spitting venom. Naming Union Telecommunication and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, he said he should do something to check the unabated call drops. “Mere promise to install towers will not work. If call drops are not addressed he may be dropped,” he commented.
