Hours before nine low-intensity blasts at pilgrimage city of Gaya in Bihar, an Indian Mujahideen operative was apprehended by the Kolkata Police on Saturday evening, police sources said, adding efforts were on to find out his links with the Bihar blasts.
The 42-year-old Anwar Hussein Mullick, a suspected IM operative, who was arrested from a city bus stop had alleged links with the Pune blasts, senior police officials said. “He supplied the explosives as we have come to know,” an STF officer told the mediapersons that Hussein had confessed to his alleged terror links.
On whether he could have links with the Gaya blasts officials said they were “probing that angle also.”
