Chairman of the Democratic Azad Party (DAP) Ghulam Nabi Azad Friday tried to put up a brave front even after learning about 'Ghar Wapsi' of former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand along with 18 others in the Congress party.

Tara Chand, Balwan Singh and Dr Manohar Lal were earlier expelled by the DAP Chairman  for anti party activities on December 22, less than three months after Azad had floated his new political outfit after quitting the Congress party.

Interestingly, Dr Manohar Lal was not present in AICC headquarters along with other leaders who returned to the Congress fold.

Meanwhile, reacting to the new political development Azad, who was present in Srinagar said, "I wish my former colleagues well in their political career ahead. It is not a setback because  all three of them have no constituency. I will not say anything against them, they were my old colleagues".

In New Delhi, former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand soon after rejoining the Congress party admitted they had committed a blunder by exiting the Congress party at the time of joining the Azad bandwagon.

Azad, on the other hand, maintained after these leaders joined him, I gave them the party positions as they were left without their constituencies after the culmination of the Delimitation exercise. But, they could not digest that. It is okay. Perhaps where they went, they do not know that these three only had party positions, but have no constituencies,” he said.
