Delhi Assembly will now conduct health check-ups for its sitting MLAs biannually to assess their health status and facilitate appropriate medical advice and treatment as required, an official statement said on Wednesday.

According to the statement released by Assembly secretariat, decision was taken during meeting chaired by Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta. The speaker launched health check-ups initiative for 70 MLAs in the Delhi Assembly last year to assess MLAs' health, identify potential illnesses, and facilitate appropriate medical advice and treatment as required.

Gupta directed that regular health check-ups of all sitting MLAs of the Delhi Legislative Assembly be conducted biannually, the statement said. A health check-up camp will be organised in collaboration with Sant Parmanand Hospital from November 12 to 19, in two batches. The first batch will commence at 8.30 am, while the second one will begin at 9.30 am, it said.
