Assam’s trade and commerbody, Federation of Industry and Commerce for North Eastern Region hailed the Union Budget 2017-18 and said that subsequent increase in allocation in agriculture and Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sectors is likely to benefit Assam and other states of the northeastern region. FINER Chairman Pabitra Burhagohain said that the Centre has also laid stress on infrastructure development and this is going to help infrastructure deficit region like Assam and other NE States.
