Social activist and crusader against corruption Anna Hazare has asked his followers to submit an affidavit in a `100 bond paper stating that they would not enter politics or become a member of any political party.

Addressing the media on the sidelines of a function organised at Dharwad Agriculture University on Tuesday at Dharwad in north Karnataka Anna Hazare said if anyone wants to join him in his movement against corruption and social justice they should give it in writing on a bond paper that they will not join political party or politics.

He said that those who had joined hands with him earlier including Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejrival and Pudicherry Governor Kiran Bedi joined active politics and held the posts of high esteem. "But they belied the aspirations" he said . His crusade against social injustice is devoid of politics.

Hazare said “after bitter experiences I have become cautious and wanted such people who can commit and devote themselves to the cause”. He said  so far he has received more than 4000 such affidavits which is  quite encouraging.

He alleged that even after three and half years of his administration at the Centre Prime Minister Narendra Modi had done little to improve the plight of farmers and said agricultural  sector has been totally neglected.
