Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Dr Jitendra Singh was 'heckled' by angry mourners after the cremation ceremony was over in Kishtwar on Friday.
Surrounded by thick posse of security personnel when Dr Singh was stepping out of the cremation ground, local residents tried to approach him but were prevented from coming closer.
Agitated residents then started raising the issue of 'selective' killing of members of the minority community and poor security arrangements in the district to ensure their safety.
Section of the people also vent their ire highlighting long absence of MoS PMO from his parliamentary constituency. At this moment Inspector General of Police, Jammu range Dr SD Singh Jamwal escorted Dr Singh safely from the spot and whisked him away in his official car. Slogans were also raised against the district police and local authorities for failing to ensure safety of residents.
