On the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC), BJP president Amit Shah will embark on his significant visit to Beijing next month and interact with CPC heavyweights to prepare the ground for a long-term “party-party” relationship.

The visit would mark an important “departure” with two diametrically divergent parties seeking to “understand” each other and expanding their ties in the backdrop of occasional rows on the borders, according to source in the party. CPC had regular delegation level exchanges with  Communist parties in India  and the Congress. As a preparation to Shah’s visit, a 14-member BJP delegation led by party National Secretary Siddharth Nath Singh toured China and interacted with CPC leaders besides holding extensive discussions  at the party level.

Shah’s ‘pilot-team’ was in China on a ten-day visit from October 26 to November 4 having an extensive visit of   Chinese cities which included Hangzhou, Beijing and  Chongquig  With the Modi Government firmly placed at the Centre, the Chinese are keen to build “afresh” Party level “relationship” with the BJP and in the process “opening up a second route” of dialogue on the burning issues, they said.

Along with Shah a delegation of BJP MlAs and MPs  may also be in China.  Talking about his China tour, Singh said he met Ministers and senior party leaders CPC and held an all round discussions with them. The BJP National Secretary said the Chinese leaders extended “warm hospitality” to them “and  went beyond protocol taking us in cars with red light and stayed in good hotels”.

He said during the interaction the BJP delegation sought to know from CPC as what could “we learn from them..”. Singh said Chinese leaders told him that Chinese  were learning English very fast “beyond our imagination”.

“We will beat you in this”, he quoted one of the Chinese leaders telling him.  The visit was primarily to Hangzhou, Beijing and  Chongquig. Praising China for its economic progress and strides, the BJP leader said  Chonqquig was one of the most backward state of China few years ago “but now it is one of the most advanced region beating even Shanghai, have build river channels and linked to sea and rail and exporting to Germany”, Singh said.

Asked what did he tell Chinese leaders, Singh said BJP delegation asked them to engage in the manufacturing  sector in India since China has become an “expensive State”.  “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s RsMake in India driveRs  gives them an opportunity to come to India to make products in India and export,” the BJP leader said while detailing his visit to China. “In return, we will have jobs creation in India,” Singh said as having suggested to party presidents of Chinese provinces whom he met.
