BJP national president Amit Shah on Wednesday sounded the poll bugle for the November 28 Assembly polls in Mizoram and said that people of the State will celebrate this year's Christmas under the BJP rule.
Shah also inaugurated the party office in Aizawl and said that the party will go to the polls alone, on the basis of the strength of the party cadres.
"I am indeed happy to see such a large gathering here today. Seeing the jam packed hall I am sure that next government in Mizoram will be formed by the BJP. Once BJP forms Government in Mizoram, 20 States of the country will be ruled by BJP," he added.
The BJP national president thanked the people of Christian dominated Meghalaya and Nagaland for voting for the BJP candidates and said that people of Mizoram will also vote for the saffron party as people have realized the misdeeds of Congress.
Assuring that BJP will not go with congress and opposition Mizo National Front (MNF), he said BJP will contest all the seats on its own depending on the strength of BJP workers.
He added, “When UPA government was in power there was 13th finance commission which allocated Rs 19,974 Crore for Mizoram during NDA rule 14th finance commission doubled the allocation to Rs 42,972.”
Attacking the congress which is ruling the state for last 10 years, he said, “Congress is infested by the corruption and dynastic rule. Chief Minister, Lal Thanhawla wants to make his brother chief minister.”
Shah said that Mizoram Government blocking implementation of 129 schemes meant for the State. “However after polls all these schemes will be implemented. Congress is worried for once these schemes are implemented, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity will further soar in the State,” Shah added.
