Union Minister and lJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan attacked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD chief lalu Prasad and said even though they claimed to be Mandal messiah, they were nowhere when VP Singh decided to implement the Mandal Commission report.
Paswan, whose party organised the birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister, said, “When Singh decided to implement the report only I in my capacity as Welfare Minister, was aware of it and no other Minister and not even Cabinet Secretary had any inkling about it. Today many people claim to take credit for this historic decision but none of them were in picture.” He was referring to lalu and Nitish.
“If there had been no Mandal report people like Mulayam Singh Yadav, lalu, Rabri Devi and Nitish would not have become CM. The credit for their political rise owed to VP Singh but none of them today remember him,” said Paswan who was made Union Minister first time by him.
