Now control room will provide answers of questions like no water supply from the municipal tank, less quantity of water is coming, 2nd the 3rd floor not getting water because of low water pressure, leaking pipelines, contaminated water, which is not drinkable at all, the water smells bad. The entire system is upgrading to online monitoring in the city. Under this, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) is being implemented under the AMRUT scheme. In which, after filling water in the water tank, the sensor will monitor the level of water. After that, there will be complete monitoring of the intensity of the flow, quantity of water, water quality.

The quantity of water supplied to a different location will be also monitored. For this, the entire control panel, flow meter, flow reading meter, level sensor, pressure sensor, automatic valve system will be installed in the tube well itself. All these digital devices will be synchronized online. For this monitoring, a separate room will be built in the Integrated Control Command Center of the Municipal Corporation. It will work on the same lines as the CCTVs on intersections. The personnel sitting in the control room will monitor it and keep the entire data updated and will tell it when the officials ask. The public will also be able to get the details of the water supply related to their area.

Under this Scheme a Control Panel will be installed in the tube well which will provide complete system control, amount of sucked water and supplied water from the tube well will be measured by a flow meter and will digitally record the reading of water flow through flow reading meter, the level sensor will tell the level of groundwater, the Pressure sensor will measure the pipeline pressure to maintain it, the automatic valve will be used without any person.

GS Priyadarshi, Chairman Smart City Project Limited said that the SCADA project is very important, as it will develop a system for complete monitoring of drinking water. The control room will monitor the water supply of the entire city. The fault will be reported immediately and can be fixed immediately. It will not be arbitrary to operate tube wells. Drinking water supply time will be optimized.
