The Bharatiya Janata Party criticised Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for holding a programme at Kanpur on Friday, a day before Narendra Modi was to address his first rally in UP.
BJP State spokesperson Chandra Mohan said the CM’s last minute decision just proved the political clout of his administration. He added that the CM’s move simply showed his nervousness due to the growing popularity of the BJP prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat CM Narendra Modi.
