Akhilesh slams BJP, calls them chamatkari people

At the inauguration of Akhilesh Yadav’s dream project, the Agra-lucknow Expressway on Monday, while the CM did not forget to attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, he surprisingly spared arch rival BSP.

Without naming the BJP, the CM said, “They are very ‘chamatkari’ people. They have put millions of farmers, poor and common people to distress by demonetising high value currency notes. We do not know what will they do in the near future.” Yadav said that BJP leaders are holding rallies and meetings across the State but have not said a word about their achievements. “In fact, the infrastructure they are using is being built by Samajwadi Party Government,” he said.

SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav was more specific in his attack when he said that in lok Sabha one of the BJP leaders complained about lack of development in UP.

“I challenged him and said that UP is one of the most developed States of India. I threw the gauntlet asking him to have a debate on this issue in the House. Believe me, not one of the 73 MPs BJP and its allies in lok Sabha had the guts to take up my challenge and have a debate with me,” Yadav senior said.

“Uttar Pradesh has progressed on all fronts. The SP regime has worked on seven points that include health, education, power, water etc and have excelled on all fronts,” he said.

However, the most vitriolic attack came from Azam Khan who attacked Modi for demonetising high value notes. “There is a `shahanshah’ who waived off the loan of an absconder but forced poor farmers to face the brunt. It is 'khazana' of poor man which that ‘lootera’ has looted,” Khan said in reference to Vijay Mallya.
