Akhilesh, Shivpal in tit for tat game

PNS

It’s a tit for tat game in the Samajwadi Party. The nephew Akhilesh Yadav has blacked out the pictures of his uncle Shivpal Yadav from the hoardings of his Rath Yatra to be kicked off on Thursday. The uncle Shivpal responded by blacking out the photos of the Chief Minister from the hoardings of silver jubilee foundation function of the party here on November 5.

Shivpal Yadav, State president of the party is also the convenor and overall in-charge of the programme here on November 5. SP had earlier appointed the controversial Minister Gyatri Prajapati as the convenor of the rally. He had to opt out of the responsibility following the death of his father few days back. None from the Chief Minister camp condoled the death of the father of their Cabinet colleague.

Shivpal Yadav on Wednesday chaired the meeting of the lohia vahani and launched a veiled attack on the Chief Minister and sought to play down the significance of the Rath Yatra of Akhilesh Yadav. Without naming the Chief Minister he also narrated the achievements of the Government. He said this was made possible only due to “strict discipline” enforced by the party on the Government.

“Yes I have heard of the Rath Yatra by the Chief Minister. The party has also, organised a programme to commemorate its silver jubilee on November 5 and right now I am busy there’’, said Shivpal Yadav.

“Samajwadi party with a robust organisation and strong support base is the result of the discipline we have practised. Keep a close vigil on those elements who want to split the party and force their agenda. You needs to be cautious against such people who want to weaken the party by splitting it’’, said Shivpal Yadav adding “Netaji has brought the party to this level with hard labour and his blood and sweat’’.

“Ham vidhan sabha chunav jitney ke liye sam, dam, dand, bhed sabkaa istemaal karenge (we will use every trick –beg , borrow and steel to win the next Assembly election. We will kick off the poll campaign after November 10 and cover every nook and corner of the State’’, said SP State chief.

Referring to unsavoury incident during the meeting of the party legislators here on October 24 where Shivpal Yadav had snatched microphone from the Chief Minister, Shivpal said “You must have seen what happened during the meeting on October 24 where many people who were not authorised to participate in that meeting had gained entry in the party office’’. He added “pull up your socks for the success of the November 5 here and later for the election campaign’’. SP president also accused the expelled SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav of sabotaging the plans of the party to expand its base in Bihar and Odisha.

“We had drawn ambitious plans for the expansion of the party in Bihar and Odisha and we had joined the grand alliance ahead of the Assembly election in Bihar in 2015, but our plans were thwarted by our own people’’.

He said that these people are responsible for breaking of the grand alliance in Bihar are now putting hurdles in the pre-poll alliances for the UP Assembly polls. Shivpal, the younger brother of Mulayam, asked the youths to identify the workers and leaders of the party who are working against the interests of the party so that they could be thrown out of the party.
