PNS

Samajwadi Party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav has said that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is the future of the Samajwadi Party and he could also be the Prime Minister of India. The SP leader with a huge cavalcade of vehicles estimated to be over 1,000 reached Etawah from Delhi on Monday and later addressed a big meeting of the party leaders at the   auditorium of the district panchayat office.

In an apparent climb-down from his earlier strident stance against Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh, the SP leader said “I never addressed Amar Singh as an outsider, it’s a media creation. Amar Singh is member of the party and MP, once a person is the member of the party becomes the part of the family so where is the question of “outsider’’.

“Akhilesh Yadav is not only the darling of the youth of the State, the future of the party is in his hands. The youth sees huge potential in his leadership  and for the next 25-30 years the Samajwadi Party will remain a dominant political force in the country under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav,’’ said Ram Gopal Yadav.  He added “I have grown old, but the youth will see that one day Akhilesh Yadav will become the prime minister of India’’.

The Samajwadi Party leaders described the event in Etawah as ‘road show’ by the senior SP leader.  However a section of the party said it was ‘show of strength’ by Ram Gopal Yadav who is facing accusations of promoting the land and liquor mafia in the party from the leaders of the party and Yadav clan.

Arvind Yadav, MlC and nephew of Ram Gopal Yadav, who was recently expelled from the party, was also present during the meeting.

Ram Gopal Yadav however dismissed the suggestion that it was a Rs show of strength’ and claimed that all is well in the party. Rs Rs There is no dispute within the family and party, which is united to contest the next election in the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav and will form the next government in the state’’, said the SP leader, who is the cousin brother of party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

later addressing the meeting of the party leaders at Zila Panchyat hall, Ram Gopal Yadav released a letter  addressed to the party chief Mulayam  Singh Yadav. The letter has been written and endorsed by the rank and file of the Samajwqadi party from the core area of the ruling party—Etawah,, Aurriyya Firozabad, Etah and Mainpuri. The letter was faxed to Mulayam Singh Yadav, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and state president of the party Shivpal Yadav.

Reading from the letter Ram Gopal Yadav said Rs Rs  Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) is a large hearted person and even if the youth leaders of the party have committed some mistake inadvertently then Netaji will forgive then, revoke their expulsion from the party and give a new strength to the party’’.He added Rs Rs  in the past Netaji even forgiven his enemies who fired at him and filled complaints to countermand his election’’.

“The rank and file of the party are demoralized by the recent events in the party. Earlier they were made to understand that all was well in the party and will form the next government in the state but recent events have certainly weakened the party’’.said Ram Gopal Yadav.

“It’s the desire of the rank and the file of the party that he orders of expulsion against the youth leaders be revoked as it takes lot of efforts to create a leader. During the previous Mayawati regime the SSP of lucknow had tried to crush Anand Bahduria MlC, under his feet’s, the youth leader kept raising the slogan Mulayam Singh Yadav Zindabad even as he was bleeding from the mouth’’, recalled Ram Gopal Yadav. Rs Rs  He added Rs Rs  it’s extremely painful that these youth leaders have been charged for speaking in derogatory language against the party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav’’.

“I have no ambitions in politics. I neither had any ambition for power and nor will have in future. In 2008 after the Samajwadi party bailed out the congress led  UPA government over Indo-US nuclear deal , I was offered  a berth in the Union cabinet but  I had passed on this offer to Akhilesh Yadav’’, said Ram Gopal Yadav adding Rs Rs  it’s a different story that  the proposal did not materialized’.
