landed amidst slogan shouting against him by his own party workers at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel Airport, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadami Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal said that his party would ask to the people of Gujarat whether to contest State Assembly polls or not.

Kejriwal who arrived at around 8.15 pm on Friday, briefly talked to mediapersons and straight away drown down to North Gujarat town Mehsana where he would stay overnight. On his four day tour of Gujarat, the Delhi CM said that AAP would raise people’s issue and talk about their problems. Apart from Mehsana, he would visit Unza, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat. His visit is aimed at attracting Patidars (Patels) towards his party.

Ahead of Kejriwal’s arrival some of the AAP workers as well as members of newly-sprung outfit Yuva Azadi Group shouted slogan against him. AAP workers present there shouted slogan in favour of him too. A motley group of this newly sprung outfit gathered at Ahmedabad airport and raised slogans against Kejriwal.

“We are not opposing Kejriwal but just want answers to our 10 questions. He keeps asking questions to everyone, including the Prime Minister but runs away from answering our questions,” Manish Brahmbhatt of Yuva Azadi Group said.

Brahmbhatt claimed that they have been seeking answers for last four years and have failed to get any response from AAP despite several emails in the past. “We are not from any political party but have been associated with the agitation since it was begun by Anna Hazare,” he added.

Since last couple of days posters have emerged at several places in the State equating Kejriwal with terrorists like Osama bin laden, Hafiz Saeed and the Hizbul Mujahideen’s Burhan Wani.

The posters declared, “heroes of Pakistan,” at prominent places in and around Unjha and Mehsana towns of north Gujarat where Kejriwal is scheduled to meet on Saturday morning the family members of those killed during the pro-reservation agitation by the upper caste Patels.

The posters are pasted in wake of Kejriwal’s statement asking the union government to provide evidence of the Indian Army's surgical strikes across the line of Control against terrorist launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) earlier this month.
