Diplomats from 73 countries, including ambassadors of Russia and Ukraine, are set to participate in the historic Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. Mela Officer Vijay Kiran Anand confirmed that the diplomats will arrive on February 1 to experience the spiritual grandeur of the event.

According to Anand, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has sent a letter to Uttar Pradesh's Chief Secretary, detailing the participation of diplomats from nations such as Japan, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Cameroon, Canada, Switzerland, Sweden, Poland, and Bolivia, among others. Notably, the ambassadors of Russia and Ukraine, despite the ongoing conflict between their countries, will take a symbolic holy dip together at the sacred confluence.

As per the plan, the diplomats will travel by boat to the Sangam Nose, where they will take a dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers.

Following this, they will visit key religious landmarks, including Akshayavat and the Bade Hanuman Temple.

The diplomats will also explore the Digital Maha Kumbh Experience Center to learn about the cultural and spiritual significance of the Maha Kumbh.

Officials from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs are working meticulously to coordinate the logistics and ensure a seamless experience for the visiting dignitaries.

The participation of such a diverse group of diplomats underscores the global recognition of the Maha Kumbh as a celebration of India's cultural and spiritual heritage.
