A 60-year old man died after he stepped in a puddle which had a part of a live wire hanging from an electric pole in it. The incident took place in West Delhi’s Uttam Nagar area on Tuesday night.
According to the police the incident took place around 8pm on Tuesday night when the victim identified as Shiv Chandra Thakur was walking through a lane near his house in Uttam Nagar area. While walking he stepped in a puddle and was electrocuted. Hearing his screams locals rushed to help him and even gave a wooden log to rescue him but did not succeed.
