PNS

Union Minister Hardeep Puri on Friday said PM Cares Fund is financing Oxygen plants in Punjab's 41 locations of which 13 would be ready by June and rest would be "fully operational" by August 15.  Addressing a press conference here, Puri said the Central Government has been providing Covid19-related assistance to all the States, including Punjab,  in a true federal spirit.

The Union Minister said the centre provided anti-corona medicine Remdesivir to Punjab 631 per hundred thousand in comparison to UP 264 - a state with many times more population -and Assam 300 with almost equal population to Punjab .

"Anyone saying the Centre not giving legitimate share of the state is a falsification", he said

He said O2 plants would set-up in 41 locations in Punjab of which 13 would be ready by June and rest be operational by August 15.

Against the backdrop of the ongoing farmers agitation , he said government is open to any dialogue with the farmers.

He claimed record procuremen of rice and wheat and pointed out that Rs 26,000 crore went directly to the bank accounts of farmers, disproving 'disinformation' on the MSP and attempt at abolition of the 'Mandi system'.
